Your events stay on your device
Everything you create in Taper (events, dates, colors, emoji, reminder settings) is stored locally on your device. Taper has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own. We never see your events.
Notifications
Reminders use local notifications scheduled on your device. Taper asks for notification permission only when you first add a reminder, and nothing about your notifications leaves your phone.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Taper shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device identifiers and ad-interaction data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Where required, Taper shows a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before any ads load, and your choice controls whether ads may be personalized. Purchasing Taper Pro removes ads entirely, and with them, this data collection.
Purchases (RevenueCat)
The Taper Pro purchase is processed by Apple and validated by RevenueCat, which receives purchase transaction information (such as an anonymous app user ID and receipt data) to unlock your purchase and keep it restored across reinstalls. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. Taper never sees your payment details.
What we don't do
Taper has no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no social integrations. We don't sell data, and we collect nothing beyond what the two services above need to work.
